On this episode of Talk CNY, we will talk with Shawni Davis, President and CEO of Luminary Electrical Contractor, the first recipient of CenterState CEO’s Growth and Equity Fund about her company, its growth and how that investment has supported her ability to scale her company here in Central New York.
Shawni Davis is New York State’s first African American female master electrician with more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She established Luminary Electrical Contractor, LLC in 2021. Luminary Electrical is certified as both a New York State Certified MBE & MWBE Business (minority-owned & woman-owned). A native of Syracuse New York, Davis started as an apprentice in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 2007. In 2022, she made headlines when she introduced President Joe Biden during a major Micron Technology announcement in Syracuse, NY. Davis continues to mentor and give back to the community.
