25 Years of New Funk 45s – DJ Skeg
Manage episode 402001001 series 2856609
To celebrate our 25th anniversary, Skeg put together this selection of the best new Funk 45s that came out over the last 25 years.
When we say new Funk we’re talking about Funk made since the late '90s by bands, producers and labels that were celebrating the Funk sound from the '70s but re-imagining it for the millennial generation. Vintage sounds played in a new way by artists who maybe only got to know about Funk from checking all the samples used by Hip-Hop artists.
Skeg has gone deep to dig out a selection of new Funk 45s that best represent the labels, artists and sounds that made the new Funk scene a great time in which to be a record collector! FEEL THE NEW FUNK!
