She also talks about being a "fatherless daughter" and her desire to break that cycle for her own daughter. About my guest: Bernadette is a Boston born, Brooklyn native with Jamaican roots. She is a bio-mom and has a 16 year old daughter who she described as her most earnest prayer personified. They share a love for cooking shows and exploring new cities together. Bernadette is also the founder and executive director of Daughter Heal, a non-profit organization at the intersection of emotional wellness and relational stability for women with fractured father relationships. She is a 2 time author and TEDx speaker. Bernadette's desire is to redefine how the world views women with "daddy issues" and to make sure that every woman with a fractured father relationship knows that she deserves amazing relationships.
