In this episode Briana Bowley chats with ISKA state champion Muay Thai fighter, Sam ‘The Kiwi Viking’ Goodman on his recent state title win and his journey and outlet on combat sports thus far.
Sam ‘The Kiwi Viking’ Goodman was Kiwi raised but has called Australia home since 2004. He first walked into a Muay Thai gym when he was 17 and instantly became obsessed.
With his family deciding to move back to New Zealand, Sam decided to remain in Adelaide to continue training his love, Muay Thai. With 5 fights under his belt, Sam is SA’s current ISKA Welterweight Champion.
Sam would describe his fight style as dominant, he also thoroughly enjoys being a showman by interacting and entertaining the crowd during his fights. He aspires to become a full time professional athlete and eventually a coach, living by the motto, “Fight hard or die trying.”
