Richard Shell is the Thomas Gerrity Professor of Legal Studies, Business Ethics and Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Professor Shell is a creator of Wharton’s popular “Success Course”, and an author of four award-winning books on the art of negotiation, persuasion, and success, including the book Springboard: Launching Your Personal Search for Success, we discuss in today’s episode. His books were translated into over 17 languages.
As a consultant, Professor Shell has advised over 100 business firms, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations, including Google, Johnson & Johnson, the Crisis Negotiation Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as major universities, unions, hospitals, and foundations.
As a scholar, Professor Shell publishes regularly on the subjects of success, negotiation, dispute resolution, and strategy in leading journals, such as Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
