S10 Ep7 - Sue Ryder Grief Kind Space in Hare Hatch
Manage episode 387928565 series 3314356
The Sue Ryder charity is dedicated to the relief of suffering. Most people know that they ensure anyone approaching the end of their life can access the palliative care and other support they need. The charity is also there for people living with grief so that they don't feel alone, and to help their loved ones to know how to be 'Grief Kind'.
Their latest initiative is to open Sue Ryder Grief Kind Spaces around the country. These are weekly drop-in sessions run by trained volunteers providing a safe, informal and supportive place in the local community to enable people to come together and share their experiences of grief to feel heard and less alone.
A Grief Kind Space now runs on Wednesday mornings at Hare Hatch Sheeplands, between Twyford and Wargrave. It is held from 10am to 12 noon in the café in the garden centre and anyone aged 18 and above is welcome to attend.
In this episode of The RG10 Podcast we hear more about the Grief Kind Space and how it works from Amanda Deane of the Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice.
