Eight in 10 women prioritize feeling healthy over looking beautiful, according to new research. A poll of 2,000 American women revealed that improving both their mental/emotional health and physical health makes them feel more beautiful than improving their physical appearance. In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Monday, The monthlong celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride reached its exuberant grand finale on Sunday, bringing rainbow-laden revelers to the streets for marquee parades in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and elsewhere across the globe. Meanwhile, multiple brawls and wild chaos engulfed Washington Square Park in the aftermath of New York City’s Pride Parade as police battled to control the unruly mob of revelers, shocking footage shows. The bodies of two teenagers swept into the ocean at a Queens beach last week have been recovered, according to the grieving family. And in Nebraska, seven people, including four children — all of whom are believed to be Hispanic — were shot by a man who had previously told them to “go back to where they came from” and to “speak English,” cops say.
