Individualism is prevalent among Christians today. As Christians, we tend to focus so much on our spiritual growth that we become useless in our earthly pursuits. However, God brought us into His kingdom through Christ to shine His light and reveal His goodness to the world. When we fail to do this, our prayers and fasting become futile. To correct this error, we need to let our light shine and reflect God's goodness through our actions. Only then will our fasting be acceptable to Him.
