Memphis Tiger football season is starting in less than two weeks, so Tigers on Tap brings you Kickoff the Season Part 1!
TJ and Trey answer questions from GoTigers247's board members in this first of two episodes kicking off the football season. They answer questions on topics ranging from the depth of the running back room, Ryan Silverfield's beard and who the guys believe must have a great season for the Tigers to be successful. They also make predictions on end of year superlatives for the Tigers' players such as: "The player with the most rushing yards at the end of the season", "the player with the most receiving yards at the end of the season", and much more. Their answers will give you a strong idea of what to expect this year from the Tiger team in what is considered a very pivotal year for success for Ryan Silverfield. While the Tigers have enjoyed many wins during Silverfield's tenure, many fans are anticipating seeing the Tigers football team take a leap back into the type of success they became accustomed to during the 2019 season.
Silverfield re-engineered his main coordinators this year by hiring Tim Cramsey as the offensive coordinator and Matt Barnes as the defensive coordinator. They are also bringing back their QB1 Seth Henigan, who as a freshman, enjoyed a record breaking year while earning a Freshman All-America placement.
Part 2 will be out next week where the guys will attempt to provide fans with a 2-deep depth chart at every position. They will also go game by game and project a win/loss record for the 2022 Tiger season.
