Download an app that can keep track of the fires
Turn on the radio and listen for bushfires on your way to and at your destination
Don’t leave your windows open overnight because if there is a fire nearby you can choke from the smoke
When compared to North America the seasons are reversed so our summer is their winter. As a result December, January and February are the worst for the bush fires
Travel with a lot of water and food when exploring the outback
