Based in Ontario, Kevin Boyd is the comics relations Coordinator for Fan Expo. He’s been collecting comic art since the late 1990’s, but he started reading and collecting comics long before then. Kevin has made comics, sold comics, promoted comics, plus co-founded and directed an award for comics — The Joe Shuster Canadian Comic Book Creator Awards, first established in 2004. He was CGC’s first director of Signature Series (until 2010). Kevin founded a convention, but then left it. He also opened a comic book store. Kevin’s career led him to be the Canadian comic guest coordinator for Fan Expo Canada and related events from 2007-2012. Since 2015, he’s been the lead Comics Coordinator for Fan Expo HQ with events all over Canada and the United States.

With more than one million fans across North America, Fan Expo HQ is the largest comic con event producer in the world, hosting live events in Toronto, San Francisco, Orlando, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Portland, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. Fan Expo HQ has three main goals: Expose fans to a variety of genres and topics; Provide opportunities for fans to meet other like-minded fans and have a great time; and Create safe and inclusive spaces for fans.
