78: 1776 (1972) and Born on the Fourth of July (1989)
Manage episode 297185058 series 2901289
It's Patriotic films this week. Adam has one question, "Is one of these really a patriotic movie?". "1776" (1:35) definitely fits into that category. A retelling of the month leading up the Declaration of Independence. Both Matt and Adam liked the dialog, but felt most of the songs were less than memorable. "Born on the Fourth of July" (31:56) was the second of Oliver Stone's Viet Nam Trilogy and it does not disappoint. Adam liked it more than Matt (Platoon fan), but both felt it was a "tour de force" for lead actor Tom Cruse. #patrioticmovies #patriotism #USA #4thofJuly #1776 #tomcruise #revolutionmovies #revolution
Next, Revolution is in the air with "If" (1968) and Woody Allen's "Bananas" (1971).
