We were introduced to Social Creatures back during Musikfest, and we stuck around to listen to them which made us late to our broadcast of the daily livestream because they were so good. A true "Best of the Fest" for 2023 for sure.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Social Creatures is producing music that is both nostalgic and new, both fun danceable and emotionally raw. Their music includes killer bass lines, shredding guitar licks, creative drum lines, dreamy synth, and vocals that are soaring and attainable.
They were selected by the Charter Arts class participating in the Musikfest Marketing program put on by ArtsQuest with area high schools, so their sound is something that everyone is enjoying.
We'll share their songs "Half The Keys", "Nothing Changes", and some live footage we snagged during Musikfest that you'll want to see, especially the active shenanigans of the drummer. So fun to watch! Then we play their release from just last Friday (3/1/2024) "Fly The Loop".
