The necessity of believers finding joy and strength (and spiritual breakthroughs) through the Lord Jesus Christ, instead of life's pleasurable circumstances, is touched upon. Looking at various historical, prophetic, and devotional themes in Psalm 84 - when exiled Jews longed to be back in Jerusalem worshipping in the temple - similar themes are considered for the Christian today - our hope, experience, and prayer.
