Don't get it twisted. The LGBTQIA community has grown leaps and bounds over the last 30 years when it comes to respectability, acceptance, and resilience. We've had so many strong leaders lead this march of inclusion for us, using their words and actions to ensure we have a safer world to live in day by day. Along with the good comes a few ignorant folx, but it's more tough when these ignorant faces are actually a part of the Queer community. In today's episode, Mikey and Eden list a few folx that could use a lesson of compassion, togetherness, and other major themes evoked from our community this year. Public figure or not, we have the responsibility to represent ourselves in the most solid way during this fight. Part of all of this holding each other accountable, so leave it Eden + Mikey to clock the tea on these problematic figures.
