I'm excited to share about our In Person Practitioner for the Zodiac Energy Empowerment Series™ .

This is Nettle Greenman and she will be helping us to use our thoughts and ideas in a new way to help cultivate our improvisational skills through an Improv class & helping us to unlock our unlimited potential.

Here is more about Nettle:

Nettle Greenman (who writes and edits under Susan M. Grossman) is a writer, editor, storyteller, improvisational performer, and singer. A published author of short fiction, poetry, and kids’ nonfiction, Nettle (as Susan M. Grossman) has worked for decades as an editor of science fiction and fantasy novels. Nettle is also a performer and improvisor who trained in the improvisational schools of St Pete’s Spitfire Comedy House and American Stage Theatre, as well as an actor, a writer of sketch comedy, and a writer and director of plays. Nettle is also a musician, and arranged and wrote music and sang with a band back in Seattle days. Nettle’s natural habitat in St Pete is literary and musical open mics (and admits to a guilty love of karaoke). With this background, teaching improvisational storytelling with improvisational song is a natural intersection of Nettle’s skills, experience, and loves.

Scope of Today’s Class:

“Once upon a time…”

Probably almost every story you know starts this way, more or less. “Once upon a time, there was something or someone. And every day, the same old thing happened. Until one day something changed, and then the poop really hit the fan…and that was just the beginning. Until FINALLY…”

You can deconstruct almost any storyline in Western literature or film and find this “story spine” inside it. (Go on. Try it.) In this workshop, we will be learning to build on this spine to improvise stories as a group.

And because song is as ingrained in our souls as story, we will then improvise a capella music, listening to each other and using our voices and the percussion of our bodies to build compositions. (Google “Bobby McFerrin circle songs.” He’s a master.)

Finally, we will co-create a story with a score that we build in the moment.

We might make something funny, moving, sad, angry, silly…whatever we bring is ourselves and it’s good. And if nothing else, I’m pretty sure we’ll have fun.

The Big Picture:

In this class, we learn the art of communication with others. This interaction with others is a reflection of our dialogue with ourself & the Creator. As we harness this skills to communicate through words and sounds we can also tune into our intention for the class/ series and see where we can communicate more clearly.

This series is to give you the sacred space to explore each zodiac energy individually through an activity and on your own time integrate your experience to go deeper on your journey. We are experiencing this series over 12 weeks (the 12 core classes) with also several intro classes and the last celebration class/ festival. Through these 12 classes its important to set an intention and watch your intention grow into your manifestation as you nurture your intention through each class.
