Manage episode 359892604 series 3461399
Delphine Mousseau grew up in Bretagne, France, among many strong female role models in her family. Describing herself as ‘a true extrovert’ and always willing to explore new places, people and ideas, she became the first in her medical family to go to business school. She got her start in ecommerce back in 1999 when she took a chance and joined a former colleague from BCG to start an online business selling plants for the garden. Since then she has worked at several large organisations such as Tommy Hillfiger and Zalando - all while raising her four children.
She now has a portfolio career and serves as a board member or chairperson on five boards.
In this episode Delphine shares:
- The story of how she started out, finding her skillset in strategy and systems
- The value of taking risks and refusing to play it safe
- How she learned to value her time as a working mother, find the right balance, and navigate other people’s attitudes and prejudices
… and shares three Big Fat Lies about women with careers.
