We all can remember a time when we were either paralyzed with fear and worry that kept us away from the present moment. We kept replaying thoughts or possible outcomes. We may have experienced tummy upset and even cold sweats. According to National Alliance of Mental Illness, Anxiety has impacted over 40 million adults in the US and most people will experinence anxiety before the age 21. In this session/episode we'll review different Anxiety disorders, the physical impact, and how we can reduce them from happening. When experiencing ruminating thoughts or anxiety ask yourself? What is fact and what is fiction? Is this a past pattern leaking into the present moment? What does this experience feel like? What do I need? Exercise: Keep journal and log any episodes. Notice any stimulating activity that may have activated and episode of anxiety. See if you can reduce any of the people, things, or topics that are causing your mind and body distress. Anxiety is a stress response in your body not the mind.
