Getting better from my OCD disorder | Anxiety Chats S02E49
Manage episode 407090662 series 3557676
Having a mental illness can be disabling, but I want to share my story to show you that you can get better from an OCD disorder.
My obsessive thoughts are mainly focused around “getting sick” or “having panic attacks” and present if I don’t follow particular patterns. For example, even though I was 100% sure that stepping on a crack wouldn’t make me sick, my OCD led me to believe that it would.
It may not seem logical, but it feels so so real! At times I felt like my OCD disorder gave me the feeling of being in control, control over my mental health especially when I was anxious.
That’s why the healing process can be very tricky, so I really hope my journey inspires you to overcome your OCD disorder. 🧡
