Cliff M. is interviewed about his journey of struggling with Opioid addiction. Cliff was raised in Northern California around the Folsom Prison area. His parents were bikers, but his mother got sober when she had him. His father was very abusive and died when he was 11 years old. Cliff got addicted to Opiods at the beginning of the Opioid Epidemic.
He dreamed of owning his own Marijuana dispensary business as a kid and became addicted to prescription pills after an accident. After 6 years he and many people were cut off from the prescription medications, he progressed to Heroin and the needle. One day after he picked up some bad Heroin that had Botulism in it. He overdosed and almost died. He was in the ICU and the hospital for 2 months. After his release he got into treatment and now has over 7 years of sobriety. He continues to work on his program of recovery and now works in treatment helping others achieve sobriety. Listen along to another amazing story of transformation on the Super Sober Podcast!
