Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! Are you ready to catch some waves along the West Coast? Well, we've got the inside scoop on the surf zone forecast for today and tomorrow.
Starting off with Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches - we've got a high rip current risk today, so be extra cautious out there. Surf heights are ranging from 2 to 4 feet with the occasional sets reaching up to 5 feet, especially on those west-facing beaches. Water temperatures are pretty chill between 60 to 67 degrees. Tomorrow, the rip current risk will decrease to moderate with similar surf heights.
Ventura County Beaches are also experiencing a high rip current risk today with surf heights between 3 to 5 feet, calming down to 2 to 4 feet tomorrow. Water temperatures are a bit cooler ranging from 60 to 63 degrees. So, be aware of those strong currents and stay safe in the water.
Further up north, Santa Barbara County is looking at a low rip current risk today with smaller surf heights ranging from 1 to 3 feet. Water temperatures are slightly warmer between 61 to 63 degrees. Similar conditions are expected for tomorrow, so it's a good time to enjoy some mellow waves.
Last but not least, San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches are seeing higher surf heights today, ranging from 4 to 7 feet. So, get ready for some exciting waves! Water temperatures are around 53 to 56 degrees. Tomorrow, the surf heights will decrease to a more manageable 3 to 6 feet.
Remember, always keep an eye out for those rip currents and stay safe in the water. Have a blast out there, surfers! And as always, respect the ocean and enjoy the waves responsibly.
