Many thanks to Kara Scrubis and Kurt Weiss, MD, for appearing on "The Art of Medicine with Dr. Andrew Wilner." Both of these extraordinary individuals share an unusual and inspirational medical story.
Please watch our 30-minute discussion to hear about their experiences with losing a limb to osteosarcoma and undergoing chemotherapy. Both of them now lead active, productive lives. Kara has graduated college, teaches dance, and continues to be active with MIB Agents on their Junior Advisory Board. She also works as their social media manager. Dr. Weiss is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Translational Research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
