On January 5th, 2025, an Air India Airbus A320neo, was en route from Bangalore to Delhi, operating as flight AI-2820. During its initial climb out of Bangalore’s runway 09L, the flight crew detected an engine stall in one of the aircraft's LEAP engines. Demonstrating exceptional professionalism, the crew halted the climb at 8,000 feet, shut down the affected engine, and made a safe return to Bangalore, landing on runway 09R about 65 minutes after departure.
