Manage episode 451779991 series 3455295
In this episode of The Bare Facts with Ross Pollard, we delve into the inspiring journey of Brooke McIntosh, a remarkable individual who overcame personal battles with eating disorders and mental illness to achieve extraordinary feats. Brooke recently completed a 1600-kilometer run from the Pilbara to Perth, raising over $71,000 for mental health charities, including the Blue Tree Project and 20Talk.
Brooke's dedication to mental health advocacy doesn't stop there. In March 2025, she plans to embark on an ambitious endeavor to become the fastest woman to run around Australia, covering approximately 14,080 kilometers. This monumental challenge aims to spark conversations about mental health nationwide and raise $1.4 million for related causes.
