Manage episode 431058052 series 3345223
Welcome to the first Dr K Unplugged episode where I get a little spicy after seeing a few posts on social media that honestly pissed me off.
Now before we jump in, as I state right at the beginning, YES there are studies showing that movement and exercise can help prevent depression & anxiety symptoms and can help improve mood. I know. Is it part of a healthy lifestyle? YES.
For those of you that don't know me, I'm an athlete. I know the benefits of exercise. Additionally, I've worked with many clients that were training, fitness was a part of their lifestyle, and they were STILL on medications for depression/anxiety.
And being a mom who recently had a kiddo who went through a really difficult sleep regression that made it difficult to workout and really tested my tools and mental resilience, I'm here to discuss root cause solutions to mood imbalances, depression & anxiety that are not widely discussed.Links from this episode: Sign Up For the Functional Motherhood Waitlist: https://nw-functional-medicine.ck.page/9dbcfb47be Join The Worthy Breakthrough Session to start getting to the root of feeling worthless, never enough and are ready to start learning how to meet your own needs so that you can meet the needs of your family from an overflowing cup: https://kirstin-lauritzen.mykajabi.com/offers/7EFsSvuK Check out these previous videos: ➡️Creating an integrated mind and body - https://youtu.be/LR7STf2O-YU ➡️How To Overcome Overtraining and Inflammation Through Gut and Mitochondria Health - https://youtu.be/AQEop2CZC5o Let's connect!
