We all rely on different types of gauges to relay valuable information. Our cars, for example, have a bunch of gauges. Some of us only care about the speed and fuel gauge. Others are very concerned with engine and transmission temperatures. In the fitness space we are obsessed with the scale to gauge progress. Some disregard this as a primary indicator and are more concerned with measurements or body fat percentages. As we set goals in our lives, we will need to gather information from different sources. Often times these will be the people closest to us. We need discernment to choose which people are reliable sources of meaningful information.
