Today I talk about how we are called to things in life and what it requires of us. My guest today is bestselling author and host of the Veteran State of Mind Podcast, along with Iraq and Afghanistan Vet - Geraint Jones There is an old saying along the lines of "oh they were an overnight success" except what people don't often see is the many years before hand that it took to get to that point. Some of us are called to something from an early age and others find their calling later in life. On todays episode Geraint and I discuss: His childhood fascination with books being one of the last of the pre-digital generation. The rituals he gets into so he can get into the writing zone daily. Why being in Iraq and Afghanistan gave him a rich tapestry of life events from which to draw inspiration. The importance of being able to put in the reps day in, day out in order to achieve mastery.
