Instead of letting this be a detriment, Yara completed her studies in education at the University of Balamand in Lebanon and has been involved in multiple NGOs helping improve the lives of people with disabilities in Lebanon through advocacy, enhancing access to education, promoting inclusivity at school and in the workplace, and raising awareness about the condition. Her most recent work is in ShareQ, an NGO that is promoting inclusivity for people with disabilities in schools and in the workplace.
Yara currently works 2 full time jobs, a full time mother, and a full time activist.
