We fall into the comparison trap for all sorts of reasons. My latest opinion is that sometimes we compare ourselves to others because we require feedback - we want to see how we’re doing. Are we ahead? Behind? Should we be working harder? Dog sports can be lonely and lacking in feedback and comparison can fill that void - just not very well!
