Miriam is one of those women that continues to deeply inspire me and impact my life. We initially connected on podcast #34 of To Be Human which I highly, highly recommend where we explored her adventures of giving up her belongings with her partner Peter and moving to the mountains of New Zealand with a bow and arrow for 6 years and then subsequently walking 2,000km through the forests of Europe, along the coast of Turkey and ending up in the Australian desert. These incredible stories are shared in Miriam’s international bestselling books, ‘Woman In The Wilderness’ and ‘Wild At Heart’.
What I personally love about this conversation that we have today is Miriam’s continual evolution when it comes to understanding freedom, her consistent curiosity around who she really is and her commitment to living a life that is fundamentally true to her. We explore her current belief that to have a whole life that is planned is the worst prison of all. We explore the price we pay to live safe and comfortable lives and we explore how we are conditioned to continually solve problems, and what might just happen if we sat still for a moment and experienced the art of doing nothing.
