Join Jodie and Lisa Clifford as we unpack the need for universal kindness and patience. Good manners and etiquette are universal. Or are they? With frequent cross-continental travel, increasing awareness of different cultures and our ability to talk to anyone at any time - are good manners still a unifying force? Or are they isolating us from different cultures?

In this episode of What Would June Dally Watkins Do? We are joined by Lisa Clifford, a celebrated writer and journalist and June Dally Watkins’ daughter. Today, Lisa talks to us about Miss Dally’s early life, how her humble beginnings formed her determination to teach etiquette to women from all walks of life, and how her ambition saw her leave behind a romance with famous actor Gregory Peck to return to Australia to start her Personal Development school. Touching on the “stigma” of being a “Dally’s Girl”, Lisa also takes us through what it was like to grow up with such a highly respected mother and what Miss Dally’s key message to young people would be today (besides moisturising your elbows of course!).
