SVDP Rhode Island (Cranston) — Helpline Volunteers The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is looking for helpline volunteers to assist Rhode Islanders seeking basic human needs. Shifts can be 4 hours (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. / 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or 8 hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), Monday – Friday. Contact: Renee at [e-mail]. Save the Bay Swim (Newport/Jamestown) — Volunteers Save the Bay needs volunteers for The Swim on July 27. Newport (5:45 – 10:00 a.m.): responsibilities include inspecting/unloading kayaks and parking.
