Kate Foster is a journalist and author. Her debut novel, The Maiden, was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2024 and won theBloody Scotland Crime Debut of the Year 2023. Her latest novel, The Kings Witches, is out now. She has been ajournalist for 25 years and began fiction-writing in lockdown as a means of escaping the world.
