This week, Shama sits down with yellow belt out of Essential Jiu Jitsu, Raina Donatella Tumminello
Raina Donatella Tumminello is out of Essential Jiu Jitsu in White Plains NY under 2x ADCC Champion JT Torres. Raina started training at age 6 and has been training Jiu Jitsu for 5 years. She is an avid competitor. Among her many accomplishments she is a 3 X Kids Pan American Medalist (2020 Silver - 2021 Gold - 2022 - Silver). She also earned Bronze at the IBJJF 2019 Las Vegas Open and Gold at the Jiu Jitsu World League 2021 Texas Open. She is sponsored by Tatami Fightwear. In 2023 Raina will be competing at the Kids Pan Americans, and would like to do another IBJJF tournament or JJWL before that. She would also like to do an ADCC Open if they have one in 2023 and go to Europe one day. When she is not on the mats she enjoys eating, traveling, rock climbing, watching Anime, listening to Sia and 21 pilots and she weight trains at Carbon X.
