We’ve all experienced some degree of trauma. Trauma can hinder our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing and if we don’t recognise or heal from the trauma, it can carry over into serious health problems, later in life.

In this episode, I chat with Helen Padarin who is a clinical naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist, public speaker, lecturer, retreat facilitator and author. We delve into the meaning behind trauma - what & how it can present and the degree in which we can overlook our own trauma. Helen also shares how to identify trauma; explaining the development behaviours we can adapt as a result of trauma and ways in which we can heal.

We also discuss how stress plays a part in perimenopause and menopause symptoms and some beautiful ways in which you can start to honour and care for yourself as you move into this natural cycle of change.

As a woman with children, a partner, friends, family, work colleagues, and living in a fast-paced society, we can often run ourselves into the ground caring for everyone around us. But, as Helen says, “to think about ‘we’, we first need to think about ‘me’.” In other words, to be able to help & heal people around us, we first need to help & heal ourselves.

This is a really important topic and valuable conversation we need to have. If you resonate with any or all of the content shared in this powerful episode and seek conversation, guidance or coaching, please don’t hesitate in contacting us. Details below. Time to step in your power.
