Where is the line between stress and trauma? How can you tell if you’re experiencing one or the other, and in what ways do they affect our mental and physical experiences?

The truth is that patterns of stress and overwhelm vary widely from person to person, and as such, so does the frequency and type of trauma response. Dr. Aimie Apigian is a Trauma, Attachment and Addiction Medicine Physician. She is an author, speaker and founder of Trauma Healing Accelerated, as well as Family Challenge Camps. Her approach to mental health focuses on tools that address stored trauma in the most efficient and effective way in order to accelerate the healing process. Dr. Aimie uses evidence-based practices, including somatic resources, to support clients in reclaiming the nervous system, helping them to feel a sense of safety and security in the body and mind.
