Testing means testing.

James 1:2-4 (NLT)
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

1 Peter 1:7 (NLT)
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

God will test you.

Jesus promised you will have trials.
As commitments grow, trials become greater.

God parents us by making it hard.
We parent by making it easier for our children.

Study significant leaders in Scripture: moses and David - less and less stressful - more and more stressful.

Call of discipleship. Wholistic. We think personal and business and grow personally. God wants both.

BELIEF + Testing = CONVICTIONS

Problem - Why?
Philosophy - Why?
Priorities - What?
Plan - How?

We want to start with how.
God never starts with how.

Romans 1-11 - Why? BELIEF
Romans 12-16 - What with a little how. BEHAVIOR

We try to work on BEHAVIOR without BELIEFS.

Ephesians 1-3 Doctrine
Ephesians 4-6 Duty

Hearth change = life change

If your belief system is hazy then you have no control over behavior.

Testing results in endurance.
