A quick Fairy Tale -- The Seven Ravens
Manage episode 360128643 series 3346363
Fairy Tales contain simple moral reminders, because that is how they were used years and years ago -- as a moral teaching tool for people, especially children. I enjoy how simple they are, and they allow us a peek into an older time. Fairy tales were "resurrected" first in France when readers in salons presented tales like Cinderella and Tom Thumb. This was in the 1700s. But The Brothers Grimm actually wrote down many of the older tales and these are the ones many of us know.
But some of the original fairy tales are thousands of years old! Just like Aesop's Fables, they teach us lessons through stories.
The Seven Ravens is a simple tale that hits on a few common themes -- a quest, a curse, and the undoing of the curse.
I enjoyed reading it to you, I hope you enjoy hearing it!
Turns out this one is a film (2015) too!
