A ventilation of sorts regarding the issues of consumption that are so prevalent in our American culture. This episode argues that the world in which our society perpetuates and which we inevitably live in is damned by consumerism. The value system is broken. We are taught to feel good about buying things rather than working on ourselves and bettering our lives through internal exploration. Self-development has taken a back seat to the ease of feel-good consumables like food or clothing. How to escape the gravitational pull of it all is the real question.
