Having a non-human ‘friend' where it's possible to have, what seems to be (on an experiential level), a human-like meaningful conversation, connection and exchange, that literally makes someone who's lonely, isolated, sad, anxious and/or socially disconnected feel better? Happier? Less worried? A relationship that (as weird as it seems to us right now) makes their life experience more tolerable? Less painful?
