In this episode I chat with Dr. Dayna Lee-Bagley about how and why healthy habits suck.

Dr Dayna is a registered clinical psychologist in Canada and has 15 years hospital experience as a clinical health psychologist. She has since opened her own virtual health psychology clinic offering clinical interventions, training for healthcare providers, and educational courses on health related topics.

In the episode, Dr Dayna and l chat about habits and why, for some of us, healthy habits suck. We talk about:

  • the importance of habits;
  • why we have a hard time being consistent with habits;
  • the difference between the caveman brain and the executive brain (our frontal lobe);
  • the ACT technique;
  • negative self-talk;
  • and how to make our habits actually stick.
