Last time Dr. Sylvia visited with Sara they talked about loneliness, the importance of connection, past family trauma and post-partum loneliness. This time, Dr. Sylvia has since moved from the USA to Switzerland and talks about all the familiar feelings of disconnect and loneliness that come up as she assimilates herself and her son to this new reality and some revelations that come along during the 4 months she’s been there.

As a child of immigrant parents who experienced their own mental health issues, and losing her mother at a very young age, Dr. Sylvia understands the uniqueness of each family’s story and the adversities that so many of us face.
Dr. Sylvia admits that she spent the majority of her life feeling Lonely AF. However, the book she is writing, of the same name, is not about going backwards or staying stuck in the problem. Lonely AF sits at the solution end of loneliness.
